AFC was established in Fargo, ND, however we provide support and outreach extending to individuals living throughout the state, including all rural, underserved areas.

Together, we specialize in various human services domains and are proficient in working with people going through family challenges, addiction, legal problems, and housing or employment needs.
Josh
Josh has been licensed as a Social Worker in North Dakota since 2006 and uses his experience in county-administered programs and various clinical teams to offer comprehensive support to people participating in the 1915i, Free Through Recovery and Community Connect programs. When he's not working with individuals, he enjoys activities with his family and has been part of the Fargo community since 2001.
Katelynn
Katelynn is a licensed Master of Social Work and has worked with individuals and families in the in-home and clinical setting since 2014. She's been a strong advocate for families involved in county and court-ordered services and specializes in helping others gain access to community resources. She is also a licensed PATH foster parent and utilizes her extensive mental health experience to assist support others trying to bridge gaps in services.
Leah
Leah began her career in nursing and has provided Care Coordination services to diverse groups of people since 2019 . She draws upon her professional and educational experiences in case management, outreach and human resources to find resources and help others reach their unique goals. Outside of providing direct care, Leah enjoys volunteering for the Veteran Association and various other community organizations.
Casi
Casi is a loyal advocate for those suffering with mental health and basic needs in the Fargo Community. Her passion has been assisting participants with their individualized goals and she uses her background as a practitioner and crisis team specialist to provide others with tools and encouragement to recover from life circumstances. Casi is also completing her training as a Licensed Addiction Counselor and enjoys sharing her lived experiences to help others connect with appropriate resources.
Brittany
As a Care Coordinator and Peer Support Specialist for AFC, Brittany utilizes her years in education and law enforcement to serve the community. Her passion is rooted in breaking cycles of addiction and abuse, especially for parents. AFC is one of the few providers offering Care Coordination to youth in North Dakota, and Brittany’s experience and honest personality make her an effective provider to those we serve under 18. She is skilled at emphasizing goals and offering the unique support that people need in a non-judgmental manner, while also providing the skills and encouragement for others to be successful at any stage of their recovery.
Kaylynn
Kaylynn is a graduate of Business Management with a Minor in Psychology from NDSU, with over 15 years of experience in person-centered roles. She’s highly motivated to be a support person and resource to others, and her dedication, positivity and sincerity are some of the most apparent qualities that people notice from the first time meeting her. Kaylynn is passionate about helping others succeed, and using her own lived experience to help people understand their value and to overcome challenges. She’s also a proud mother and wife to her family, and enjoys the outdoors, recreation, and faith-based experiences. Isaiah 43:18-19
Jennifer
Jennifer “Queen of the West” joins us from Watford City, ND. She grew up in Montana and has lived in every state from Indiana to Florida and west. Her passions included “living recovery out loud “, volleyball, softball, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Jennifer is the Western ND Supervisor for our Care Coordination and Peer Support team. Joining us in June of 2024, she has brought a sense of humor and eight years of experience working with people with various backgrounds. With a mix of lived experience, clinical knowledge, and a passion for life and helping others, Jennifer is a great addition to our team.
Jacqueline
Jacqueline is highly oriented to providing supportive services with her common-sense approach and willingness to go above and beyond for people who want to change their circumstances. She brings a wealth of professional and personal experience to AFC, being a United States Veteran and living throughout the country, with 16 years of experience in recovery and serving others who are homeless or abused. Since living in North Dakota, she has been active in jail ministry programs and providing direct care to people with disabilities and complex cognitive or mental health needs, and believes her calling is to help people out of difficult situations.
Andrea
Andrea began her career in healthcare and later developed her skills in health and human services working for the Montana Tribal Relations and Resiliency unit. She has incorporated Tribal voice, shared resources and built connections through consultation on matters affecting American Indian students. Andrea uses this experience to help with outreach and to build support systems within each person’s community, helping individuals thrive and reach their individual goals. She is also pursuing her degree in chemical addiction studies. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, Frenchies, and attending concerts.
Andy
Andrew (Andy) is a retired veteran of 22 years from the North Dakota Army National Guard. He has been on multiple deployments during his career and began his human services journey with the goal of starting a Veteran peer support group in the Bismarck area. With his life experiences, he can relate to most areas of behavioral health, and is always ready to provide resources and his candid opinion if it benefits those receiving Care Coordination or Peer Support services with him. He enjoys camping, woodworking, and exchanging sarcasm.
Christina
Christina is a dedicated and compassionate team member, providing support, guidance, and advocacy for individuals navigating mental health challenges, Cancer, addiction, abuse, and life transitions. Drawing from lived experience and professional training, she fosters a safe, non-judgmental environment where individuals feel empowered to take steps toward their personal goals and wellness. She has worked with people recovering from chemical dependency for many years and has focused her skills and effort on promoting individual safety and success in the community. Christina has also trained therapy dogs. You will often see her with her personal therapy dog, Savannah, who enjoys helping people with anxiety and loves kids.
